The company began in the Miami apartment of the founders, Mr. & Mrs. Bernard A. Rubel. While vacationing in Germany, they discovered an educational card game about Endangered Species in the zoo's gift shop in Munich, Germany. They decided to translate it into English and sell to the zoos and museums in the US.
Today Safari Ltd® sells worldwide in a variety markets. We also take pride in having license agreements, for almost 25 years, with the renowned Carnegie Museum of Natural History® of Pittsburgh, PA. and the Monterey Bay Aquarium® of Monterey, CA.
